Key Responsibilities

- Interpret client briefs, marketing concepts, and brand identities, translating them into clear creative directions that inspire and guide perfumer teams.
- Review and evaluate fragrance submissions on a daily basis, delivering structured, objective feedback to support formula refinement.
- Consumer Insights & Trend Intelligence
- Monitor market data, cultural shifts, and consumer behavior to uncover emerging opportunities and drive proactive fragrance innovation.
- Identify and forecast olfactive and product trends across key categories including Fine Fragrance, Fabric Care, Personal Care, and Home Care — with a focus on local and regional relevance.

- Project Management & Collection Development
- Oversee the end-to-end fragrance development lifecycle, managing timelines, deliverables, and budget adherence across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Curate and refine fragrance submissions to best meet client briefs and business objectives.

- Partner with R&D and technical teams to resolve formulation challenges, ensuring all fragrances meet safety, cost, and regulatory requirements (including IFRA standards).
- Adapt and re-modify existing formulas in response to regulatory updates, cost targets, or supply chain changes — without compromising the intended olfactive profile.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Client Presentations
- Serve as the key connector between Laboratory, Sales, Marketing, and Consumer Insights teams, ensuring alignment across functions.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to develop compelling fragrance narratives and go-to-market strategies.
- Lead and contribute to client presentations with confidence, clearly communicating olfactive rationale, creative inspiration, and technical benefits to support business development.

- Formal olfactive training from a recognized institution (e.g., ISIPCA, Grasse Institute of Perfumery) or an internal academy at a leading fragrance house is highly advantageous.
- Solid understanding of industry standards such as IFRA; a genuine eagerness to develop commercial acumen within the fragrance industry is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex olfactive concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
- Analytical thinker with clarity of thought and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a strong sense of team spirit and professional integrity.
