Role Overview

This role is central to the daily operations of the fragrance development laboratory, ensuring that all sample preparation, application testing, and inventory management are carried out to the highest standard of accuracy and quality. The successful candidate will work closely with evaluators and technical teams to support the full development process — from compounding formulas through to client-ready sample delivery. This position suits a meticulous, hands-on professional with a strong sense of ownership over laboratory quality and organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately weigh, compound, and prepare fragrance formulas following perfumer and evaluator instructions, with strict protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Prepare client-ready application samples by dosing fragrance oils into consumer bases such as fine fragrance, body wash, and fabric care.
  • Conduct visual and olfactive quality checks on all samples before dispatch, flagging any discoloration, separation, or particulate matter.
  • Support stability testing by monitoring fragrances in complex bases and documenting any physical or olfactive changes for timely escalation.
  • Maintain accurate, organized records of formulations, dosages, and test results in the internal database.
  • Manage the internal fragrance library and physical archive — keeping stock current, well-organized, and readily accessible.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits, monitor expiry dates, and coordinate replenishment orders to avoid project delays.
  • Perform daily calibration and maintenance of lab equipment and ensure proper disposal of chemical waste per safety protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Secondary school diploma (Mathayom 6), Vocational Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or compounding environment; prior exposure to fragrance, flavor, cosmetics, or FMCG is a strong advantage — though general chemical mixing or precision weighing experience is equally considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret formulas and operate precision weighing equipment.
  • Solid understanding of workplace hygiene, safety standards, and basic quality control protocols.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory tracking (e.g., Excel or internal systems).
  • Highly reliable with exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Well-organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple sample requests simultaneously while maintaining a clean and compliant workspace.
