- Assess and manage risks associated with third-party material or service providers, including supply continuity, quality, and safety.
- Build sourcing strategies that meet compliance and safety expectations, including rate structures, supplier approval, and contract oversight.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives: supplier pre-qualification, RFI/RFQ/RFP processes, bid analysis, and commercial negotiations.
- Negotiate contracts that support plant operations, service partners, and capital investment projects while protecting the company’s commercial interests.
- Oversee contract review, approval routing, and signing processes in alignment with internal policies.
- Implement structured supplier performance assessments and supplier relationship programs, ensuring continuous improvement in safety, cost, quality, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supplier performance issues, operational disruptions, or compliance concerns.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure transparent and efficient communication.
- Use influential leadership to challenge inefficiencies and support a culture of improvement within the procurement organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, ideally in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement of logistics services, raw materials, packaging, or indirect materials within a manufacturing or project-driven environment.
