Sales Manager – Chemicals Industry

Client Background:

Our customer is a leading multinational company in the chemical industry, known for its dominant market presence and global reach. With multiple locations worldwide, the corporation boasts strong research and development, manufacturing, and market share capabilities. We are currently seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales & Business Development Manager to drive growth and manage key client relationships within the Chlor-Alkali market in Thailand.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute daily and monthly sales plans to achieve and exceed budgeted targets, while analyzing performance metrics, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions. Drive market share growth in existing segments and pursue new customer acquisition opportunities, with a focus on optimizing market planning for Chlorine and its derivatives and implementing cost-saving initiatives in transportation.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across all product lines, ensuring a seamless customer experience through streamlined account management processes. Proactively manage a pipeline of prospective clients to maximize conversion rates, regularly engaging with customers to understand expectations and address concerns. Oversee resolution of customer complaints with timely feedback and coordinated departmental support to ensure high satisfaction.
  • Maintain account receivables at target levels through vigilant credit monitoring and prompt follow-ups, conducting regular reviews of outstanding payments and overdue accounts to ensure financial control.
  • Conduct comprehensive market mapping of Thailand’s Chlor-Alkali sector through research and customer visits, while exploring opportunities in alternative packaging and new Chlorine derivative products. Define market penetration strategies and identify emerging opportunities in new industries across Thailand.
  • Assess and address training needs of subordinates by coordinating technical and HR development programs. Provide hands-on coaching to enhance team capabilities and ensure quality output, while promoting participation in continuous improvement initiatives such as WCM, 5S, and QCC.

Requirement:

  • Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in a relevant field are required.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a sales role, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Prior experience in the Chlor-Alkali industry is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of the local market dynamics and customer behavior.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed.
